1st Conference of the European Network for Digital Democracy
Digital democracy is a growing field of research in disciplines such as political science, social choice theory, and computer science. This month, the 1st Conference of the European Network for Digital Democracy (in short: EDDY) was organized in Rotterdam. We were excited to be part of this program with three contributions:
First, Valeria Vuk presented her work on “Addressing self-selection bias in deliberative democracy: An argument for more diverse, equal and inclusive deliberation” in the panel “Problem Definition in the Digital Democracy”.
Then, Fynn Bachmann presented his work on “Comparing interaction options in Wiki surveys”.
Lastly, Daan van der Weijden presented a poster about his research on “Using large language models to simulate online political discussions”.
The conference was a great success, with many interesting panels and presentations. We look forward to joining next year’s conference to be held in Paris or Vienna. See you there!
